As a result of moisture damage, the pool surround was cut back to the reinforced concrete deck and rebuilt. New drainage channels were laid and a new bonded screed laid to falls with the hydrophobic screed cement ASO-EZ4 at thicknesses up to 18 cm. Waterproofing of the pool surround was carried out with the non-destructive testable waterproofing system DENSARE-2002. A new ceramic tiled finish was laid on the waterproof system with the flexible adhesive MONOFLEX-XL and subsequently grouted with HF05-Brillantfuge.

Frers Baukeramik carried out the break out work and the screed installation as well as the re-profiling work of the pool edge detail. The company Beck carried out the waterproofing as well as the fixing and grouting of the ceramic tiles.
